Great room. Included drinks and coffee in the lobby. Really close to the railway station and in the centre of everything.

We booked the two bedroom apartment with a balcony view over Newtown and the city skyline and didn't want to leave! The staff were super friendly, parking was easy, and our room was comfortable, modern & well decorated, clean and spacious! The building itself was very artsy with many local and funky art and it was only a 1-2 minute walk to the Enmore Theatre where we attended a concert. We'd happily stay here again! :)

A perfect little gem in the heart of Newtown. This hotel offered fresh towels daily, free coffee and tea with fresh milk and sugar, a door person for security, and a lovely internal courtyard on each level due to the unique construction of the building. We enjoyed 10 days here exploring the area and all other parts of Sydney. Close to trains and busses and all kinds of walkable shops, cafes, restaurants and bars! A very lively community and the Urban Newtown was at the hub of it all!

I have just booked my second stay at The Urban because the first could not be faulted. Great service, lovely staff (despite my late night arrival), and very affordable given the convenient location. It is a very short walk to Newtown station and they offer late check-ins at no added cost. I found it very quiet considering the location. I 100% recommend booking on their website directly to receive a better price and some fun discounts at nearby bars and restaurants. I am a woman and travel alone, and I felt very safe at the hotel.
